Prelude to winter

Packed sardine during commute today because
1. Rush hour
2. People don't want to move in
3. It's cold and people are wearing more clothes than usual.

All universal first world problems.

Commute during winter can be torturing. Rugged up from the cold and entering into a packed heated train can slowly roast you through your journey. By the time you reach your station, you will be ready for consumption.
It's not officially winter yet but as you can see my flannel pjs and winter house slippers are out. It's been very cold these past few days and I am trying to tahan without using heater.
It looks like I am penny pinching and the truth is - yes I am training to be Scrouge McDuck. And for good reason. Heating is the biggest contributor to high energy bills in winter. If you can survive by just wearing thicker clothes in the house, why would you want to give your money away?
This brilliant cost saving idea didn't come from me yo! Many migrants I know do the same. Look no further than my uncle. Heater is only turned on if the temperature drops below 10 degrees. So I learn to tough myself out when I was staying with him. With heating, electric bill can exceed $200-$300 per month and without heating, below $100.00. It is also not cost effective to heat the whole unit with just me alone in my home.
The real test will be winter ~ shiver.
